Today is transfers!! I have sad but yet exciting news!! I'm leaving Lexington and opening an area that was closed months ago! Grand Island!! :) aka GI! I'm so sad to leave Lex though. I love it here and I love the members. It'll be hard, but it's all the Lord's will. Packing sucks as a missionary! :P Grand Island from what I have heard from all of the other Elders is an awesome area!! Crazy thing is, it's the biggest area I've ever been in. There is maybe 50,000 people there lol. Supposedly there were 7 investigators at church last week, so we have a lot to do! Haha, Elder Meza said that place is a gold mine, and that the field is literally ready to harvest there. The power of bearing your testimony is amazing. I've learned that a lot recently and yesterday that popped into my head. Many people think that we have to prove what we have. Yes, we have a great evidence of the Restoration, being the Book of Mormon. We're not here to prove though, only to declare. That's the way the Spirit wants it done and so we declare it by bearing our testimonies. I know the Book of Mormon is true! I know it was written for our day! I know they knew of what we faced even 2,000 years ago! I love this gospel! It blesses me, and raises me, and although sometimes I feel tested and stressed, through the Atonement of Jesus Christ I can be strengthened and move forward! I know Jesus Christ lives and is my Savior, and is the Savior of the world. His Atonement is Real. It's true, and is all powerful to those who humble themselves and sincerely repent. I know we have a living prophet on the earth today! :)
well your mom sent me the blog, so i am happy you are on the Lords errand. I am not sure if you are aware, but I have moved away form Logan, my mother passed to the other side of the veil in January, (not a happy time, but at least she is no longer suffering) she died of leukemia like your one friend... our family is now spread abroad, I live in Bountiful with my grandparents, my two youngest siblings, Gary and Mellissa are living in West Valley with other relatives, and Allison is still in Logan, has a new Job and is doing well in her new college life. I am happy in my new ward down here and I am having a blast going to school for Web design in Layton. there is the update in my life, I was actually grateful for your last letter to me, which you sent just before you left the MTC I think... so yeah, if you want to write me I could write you back, I miss my old buddy from mission prep class... and Dave got married haha I am not sure if you knew that, he also has a daughter now, she is freaking adorable... but anyways, I am glad to hear you are doing great. my new address is 105 E Center St. Bountiful, UT 84010. your friend Kyle Kemp
ReplyDeleteI am glad that the Lord has missionaries that are helping here today. I am serving in what ways I think he would greatly approve of. I am grateful for the Gospel of Jesus Christ in my life today, He has helped me to find a path in life that is leading me to do great things. I know that the Atonement is true doctrine and I am glad for it's role in my life today. because of it I will get to see my Mother again and I am glad to know that. I am still listening to the doctrines and principals that the Gospel has to offer me and I learn something new every time i read the scriptures. I close this testimony simply with the sentence I believe in Jesus Christ and all that he stood for. In His name, Jesus Christ, Amen.
